Briefing the media at the Collectorate here today, advocate Krishnan said that political parties are jumping into protests without knowing the reality of the issue. “The case has been filed based on the complaint we gave and protesting without knowing the truth will stop other victims from filing complaints,” he said. Palanisamy, a relative of the victim said that the protests by political parties are adding to the stress that the family is facing.

Kumaraguru, another relative claimed that investigations were fair by the State Government and it was initiated by Pollachi V Jayaraman and Minister S P Velumani from the AIADMK, adding that their names were being dragged into the scandal for political reasons.
“The protests are creating chaos in our families and breaking the dignity of our girls. If these protests stop, other victims could also come forward and complain,” said Kumaraguru.
