Coimbatore : AIADMK party has finally woken up to the fact that members of its party have been involved in the case pertaining to sexual extortion from women in Pollachi.
In a letter addressed to the party members, Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam have dismissed A Nagaraj from the party, stripping him of all party-related responsibilities.
A Nagaraj was arrested few days ago and let out on bail with a high profile lawyer team appearing for him. He was arrested for allegedly beating up the family members of a girl who exposed the Pollachi sex extortion racket by lodging a complaint with the police.
Following mounting public and political pressure, the AIADMK has at last reacted to the incident by dismissing their cadre, A Nagaraj for his involvement in the case. However, speculations are rife on the possible involvement of a few other politicians and their sons.
