About 25 cadres of MNM began their election campaign even before the announcement of prospective candidates in the party. The cadres visited shops in Pollachi Baazar and distributed pamphlets to the public, after which they appealed to the public to vote for Makkal Needhi Maiam to bring about change in the State.
Mayoora Subramaniyam, District Coordinator, Pollachi, announced that since the Election Commission had allotted 'Battery Torch' to them, they were happy and started the election campaign today under the guidance of Dr. R Mahendran, the Vice President of MNM. "We are distributing the pamphlets to the shops and creating awareness about our party's policies. Almost 500 pamphlets were distributed on today. Until the announcement of candidates, we have planned to visit people to encourage them to vote and work together for change in the State."
