Coimbatore : The District Collector, K Rajamani has directed the Returning Officers (ROs) to strictly enforce the Model Code of Conduct announced by the Election Commission of India for the upcoming general elections.
Addressing the ROs, representatives from political parties and other election-related officials at the District Collectorate, here on Monday, the Collector exhorted the officials to strive for the smooth conduct of the elections strictly. He stated that under his supervision, 90 flying squad teams have been formed to monitor any 'model code of conduct' violations and pre-poll arrangements in the district.
