According to reports, based on a tip-off, Tirupur 15 Velampalayam Police conducted a search at a godown in Tirupur Kumaran Colony and recovered 250 kg of gutka. The police have arrested Suresh and Pappu in connection to this crime.
In a similar search, the police recovered 450 kg of gutka from another godown in the 15 Velampalayam area and arrested the owner of the godown, Om Prakash. According to the police, all the arrested were involved in the illegal sale of gutka sales by packaging them in biscuit boxes. A total of 700 kg gutka was seized by the police.
