Coimbatore : The abandoned newborn found at a cattle farm in Kaundampalayam on Thursday here has been admitted to 'Sharanalayam', a home for orphanage, on Friday.
Coimbatore : The abandoned newborn found at a cattle farm in Kaundampalayam on Thursday here has been admitted to 'Sharanalayam', a home for orphanage, on Friday.
The baby which was treated at the Government hospital was named as 'Archana'. As the baby's health condition improved, the baby was today handed over to the authorities at Sharanalayam, a government authorised orphanage for children.
Dr. Soundravel, Resident Medical Officer, CMCH and District Child Welfare officer handed over the child.
"A formal advertisement to trace the whereabouts of the parents would be released. Following nil response, the child would be given for adoption", said an officer from the child welfare department.
