According to reports, Gobi (58) hailing from Palakkad prepares balm in the Westbrook region of Kotagiri. Fumes unexpectedly started filling the set where he was preparing the balm, and being unable to escape from the spot, Gobi reportedly died. Since there were no houses nearby, no one was aware of the accident.
Motorists passing by the area noticed smoke and informed the fire department who arrived at the spot to douse the fire. Gobi’s body was retrieved with burn wounds all over. The police have registered a case and commenced investigation.
