According to reports, Subramani, the owner of the workshop was welding when the cylinder blasted unexpectedly, due to high pressure. Subramani sustained grievous injuries in this accident, while another employee at the workshop, Pandiyan injured his hand owing to the blast.
Both men were administered immediate medical aid at the Tirupur Government Hospital but Subramani had to be taken to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment. The Tirupur central police are investigating on the blast.
