According to reports, Suganya-Thangaraj, a couple who resident at Angeripalayam, Tirupur rushed to the Tirupur Government Hospital in 108 ambulance on Tuesday when she was beset with labour pains.
Suganya gave birth to a child on Wednesday. However, it is alleged that the baby was not shown to the parents on account of being treated for breathing problems. After a day, the parents grew suspicious and asked for the baby saying they would take the baby to Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment.
At first, the hospital authorities denied the request still citing that the child was being treated in the intensive care unit. After a while, they informed that the child died without responding to treatment.
Following this, the kin are protesting in front of the Tirupur Govenment Hospital refusing to take possession of the deceased body and alleging that the newborn had died due to the negligence of the hospital authorities.
