Coimbatore: Several organizations demonstrated in Coimbatore demanding action to find environmental activist Mukilan on Tuesday.

Environmental and social activists across the State are engaged in various protests urging the government to find the missing environmentalist who had gone missing from February 15 in Chennai.

As part of this, various political entities joined hands and staged a demonstration in front of South Taluk office here on Tuesday evening.
Representatives from Thanthai Dravida Periyar Kazhagam, CPI, CPI (M), VCK and others took part.
The demonstrators alleged that Mukilan went missing after he released a documentary film about Sterlite shootout. They stated that as the whereabouts about him is still not traced, none know if he was actually kidnapped or arrested.
They also alleged that the CBCID and the police were acting negligently in finding Mugilan and that the Tamil Nadu government should take appropriate action to find him.
The protesters vowed that they would intensify their protest till Mukilan is brought back. More than 100 participants attended this demonstration.
