Minister S P Velumani offered 'bhoomi pooja' for rainwater drain and for the construction of a small bridge in the 89th ward of Sundakkamuthur main road of Coimbatore corporation.
He also inspected the Miyawaki work carried in the 89th ward of Birudi Colony and inaugurated the women self group building at the cost of Rs.12.50 lakhs at NTP Street from the Corporation fund. Later, the Minister inaugurated Rs.9.50 lakhs worth water drain closing cap construction at Kulaththupalayam Road in the 91st ward.
Rs.7 lakhs has also been allotted to build a concrete site at Makaaliyamman temple. Later, he inaugurated road laying work at C S Academy road in the 90th ward of Kovaipudur at the cost of Rs.17.50 lakhs. He also inaugurated a play ground in the 90th ward of MGR Nagar from the Corporation fund at the cost of Rs.12 lakhs.
