Coimbatore : The Minister inaugurated work for constructing a drinking water tank with 5 lakh litre capacity, worth 82.50 lakhs through TWAD at Rainbow Colony, Sugunapuram East, 92nd ward in the Coimbatore South Zone.
Coimbatore : The Minister inaugurated work for constructing a drinking water tank with 5 lakh litre capacity, worth 82.50 lakhs through TWAD at Rainbow Colony, Sugunapuram East, 92nd ward in the Coimbatore South Zone. He also performed the 'boomi pooja' for constructing a park at a cost of 39.10 lakhs from the Corporation fund at Rainbow Colony.
S P Velumani also inaugurated construction work for storm water drainage and concrete roads worth 71.80 lakhs at Senthamizh Nagar and Sugunapuram East. A project to build storm water drainage at Senthamizh Nagar Main Road at a cost of Rs.35 lakhs and a concrete road leading to Senthamizh Nagar Community Hall at a cost of Rs.23 lakhs were also launched by the Minister.

Later, S P Velumani inaugurated the public use of a drinking water tank of 3 lakh litre capacity, costing 17.50 lakhs which was built from the Corporation fund at Sugunapuram East. The Amma Community Hall at Sugunapuram built at a cost of 84.40 lakhs was also opened out for public use.
City engineer A Lakshmanan, T R Ravi, Asst Zonal Officer, South Zone and Operations Engineer Gnanavel and a section of the general public participated in the event.
