The Coimbatore City Police state, "Vehicles from Palakkad and Pollachi Road entering Ukkadam will not be allowed to go through Oppanakara street. Vehicles will be diverted to Sungam bypass railway bridge from where they can travel to their destinations. Light vehicles which have to reach Palakkad Road from Avinashi Road old flyover and Lanka Corner can take Big Bazaar street and Vincent road to reach Ukkadam from where vehicles can travel to their destinations.
Buses can take their usual route to reach Ukkadam from Town hall. However, buses will not be allowed to go through Vysial Street and Oppanakara Street from 1 pm to 6 pm. Buses which go to Perur via Vysial Street should reach Ukkadam from where they can ply to Sivalalaya junction via Perur bypass road and then to Perur. Vehicles which travel from Avinashi Road old flyover to Thadagam Road, Mettupalayam Road will be diverted to Sukrawarpet and Flower Market.
Vehicles which are to go to Palakkad and Pollachi Road from Thadagam Road should take Ponnaiyarajapuram, Sokkampudur and Ramamoorthy Road to reach Sivalaya Theatre from where they can reach Palakkad Road and Pollachi Road through Perur bypass road.
Heavy vehicles coming from Perur through Chetty Street and Raja Street should reach Sivalaya junction and Perur bypass road to reach Ukkadam from where buses and light weight vehicles can reach Gandhi Park through Sulivan Street from where vehicles can reach their destinations.
Lorries will not be allowed to travel through RG Street, Raja Street, KG Street and Vysial Street from 8 am till 9 pm tomorrow. Vehicles will not be allowed to park at Raja Street, Oppanakara Street, Vysial street, KG Street, RG Street from 8 am to 8 pm.
