As if the already searing hot temperatures is not enough, the TNAU Agro Climate forecast department have predicted that it’s going to be much worse in the next few days.
The Chennai Met Department had earlier predicted that many parts of the Kongu region and Tamilnadu will experience a heat wave and rise in temperatures. 11 districts including Coimbatore, Salem, Erode and Dindigul will experience higher temperatures and heat waves.
To understand more about this, SimpliCity talked with the Head of TNAU Agro Climate Forecast department, Mangalam she said, “The City will witness rise in temperatures on March 6-7. The mercury will touch 38 degrees from the already hot 35 degrees. With this the minimum temperature will also increase from the current 22 degrees to 24 degrees during the two-day period.”
As Coimbatore has been experiencing very hot weather from mid February onwards, people are very hopeful that summer rains would hit us much earlier, this time. However, this forecast seems to worry us, as we have to experience much hotter climate before rains chills us.
