Udhayanidhi Stalin, Son of DMK President Stalin was here in the city to inaugurate the 'Kalaignar Library' at Teppukulam Maidhanam near Poomarket.
More than 50,000 books collected from various sources and donated by DMK cadres decorated the shelves of the newly opened library in memory of 'Kalaignar' Karunanidhi.
Meanwhile, lack of traffic police led to severe traffic congestion in the area, thereby halting all vehicles from Avinashi flyover to Poo market and vehicles plying from Poo market towards Sukrawarpet-Gandhipark.
