In one such incident, the Kavundampalayam BJP cadres took out a bike rally at 3 pm between the Kavundampalayam and Thudiyalur stretch on Saturday in which not even a single biker had his helmet on.
The violation by the party cadres drew criticism from the public. Not only is it illegal to drive in such a manner, but also pose danger for the rallying participants.
The public opined that "Hope the party leadership looks into this and sets a good example for the public and also ensure the safety of the cadres".
