Coimbatore : DMK functionaries handed over Rs.50,000 worth of books to the Singanallur MLA and Coimbatore Urban District in-charge, N Karthik for setting up of ‘Kalaignar Library' in the city.
On behalf of party functionaries, the DMK District Organiser, Rahman handed over Rs.25,000 worth books to the MLA.N. Karthik for the library that is to be opened at Theppakulam area, here.
On behalf of the Auto Drivers Association, President, Vanangaa Mudi, Deputy Chief C.K. Chellappa donated books.
So far, books worth Rs. 50,000 has been received, a party functionary said.
