Coimbatore : A 70-year-old woman was hacked to death by her 85-year-old elder brother in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore : A 70-year-old woman was hacked to death by her 85-year-old elder brother in Coimbatore.
According to reports, ‘Velusamy (85) of Kallimadi, Singanallur was residing with his sister Pechiyammal (70) at Raja street here. Meanwhile, Pechiyammal was reported to have spotted in an unconscious state at her house. Her daughter along with the help the neighbours admitted her to the government hospital.
As the doctors there declared her dead in arrival, a post mortem was advised. Following the postmortem, reports revealed that the elderly woman was hacked to death.
A team of Police headed over by Singanallur Sub-inspector Arjun Kumar commenced investigation. The police then found that Pechiammal was murdered by her brother Velusami.
On interrogation, Velusami confessed that he committed the murder over a tussle with his sister.
