Coimbatore : Tamilnadu Congress Committee leader KS Alagiri was here in Coimbatore to attend the all party meeting today. He met the press today in Coimbatore airport and discussed about various issues from alliance talks to Pulwama attacks.
When asked about the pilot who was captured by Pakistan he said, "There are several ways that India can use to get our soldiers and pilots back. We can take the issue up with the UN and corner Pakistan diplomatically. I'm confident Indian government will do everything it can to release our soldiers from Pakistan."

He also said that "What our Indian airforce did when they entered Pak airspace was nothing short of brilliant but our retaliatory attacks in terror outfits in Pakistan is late and we should have hit them much earlier. If Pakistan offers proper channels of dialog then we should take it as that is the best way. And India has never been the first aggressor with Pakistan."
When questioned about DMDK joining the alliance he clearly emphasized that "DMK is leading the alliance and they will decide the best course of action. As for our party's allocation, we have given choice of candidates and list of constituencies we will contest in to party leader Rahul Gandhi.
Final decision will be taken after seat allocation is finalized. Our alliance is based on ideology unlike ADMK alliance which is an anti-people alliance made up of parties which incite violence and filled up with corrupt leaders. Whether it is social justice or socialism, DMK alliance is the party to choose."
When the issue of 7 Tamils jailed for Rajiv Gandhi assassination was raised, he said that "criminals should be looked at as criminals, murderers should be looked at as murderers and not be rationalized using tags like Tamils. Whether they have to be released or not should be left to the courts."
