Addressing the media at party office in Gandhipuram here, CPI(M) State Secretary Balakrishnan said, "AIADMK-PMK-BJP alliance is an opportunist alliance. PMK has joined hands with Ministers against whom their party made corruption charges. How could they justify their action?".
He further slammed, "Does it mean that all corruption accusations by PMK is a drama?". AIADMK coalition is against the interests of the people".
Commenting on DMK's coalition, he said "DMK coalition will emerge victorious in the forthcoming elections,in ashe parties who have signed pact with them share a long term relationship with DMK. CPI (M) seat-sharing in DMK coalition will be decided within two days".
When questioned on DMDK joining alliance with DMK, he said It will be better if DMDK joins alliance with DMK. The delay in seat-sharing could be because of the pending pact with DMDK".
The CPI (M) leader also noted that IAF's strike on Pakistan terror camp is highly appreciable. "However, BJP cannot gain political benefits through this attack. Perhaps, if BJP is so concerned on the national security, they should have prevented the previous attacks. BJP is trying to make use of this attack to hide Pulwama attack and other northern state issues".
"I don’t have any second opinion in the fact that Pakistan nurtures terrorist organisations in their soil. Yet, the ongoing attacks by IAF at the time of election, creates suspicion if there is any hidden political agenda behind it", he added.
