In 2014, Parthiban, employee at a knitwear firm at Mummoorthi Nagar in Tirupur had sexually assaulted the girl who hailed from Bihar. Based on the complaint filed by her parents, a case had been registered. During the hearing of the case at the Tirupur Mahila Court yesterday, the judge sentenced him to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.20,000.
