In a cold-blooded muder, retired Special Sub-Inspector (SSI) of Police was stabbed to death by his son near Singanallur on Monday. After police found that his son had murdered him, they arrested him and commenced investigation.
Initial police inquiry reveals that Senthil Kumar had accepted to have murdered his father as he allegedly scolded him as a 'useless' and denied to give him money for buying liquor.
An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the IPC, the police said
According to reports, Subramaniyam (70), a retired SSI along with his wife Padmini and son Senthil Kumar were residing at Anna Nagar, near Irugur within the Singanallur Police Station limits.
His son Senthil Kumar who had married about five years ago had separated from his wife, following which he lived with his parents. Senthil Kumar, an alcoholic had frequent tussles with his father. When Padmini had left her home yesterday, a tussle broke out between father and son.
In a fit of rage, Senthil Kumar stabbed his father Subramaniyam with a knife on his hip and chest. Subramaniyam reportedly died on the spot. Padmini who returned home was shocked to find her husband stabbed to death.
On information, the Singanallur Police rushed to the house and commenced an investigation. Thereafter, the police have nabbed Senthil Kumar.
