Acres of forest area in the Mudumalai tiger reserve was reduced down to ashes in the fire that broke at the forest region, recently. Despite, tireless efforts made by firefighters to douse the fire, fire continues for the third consecutive day in Bandipur forest region next to MTR.
Meanwhile, two helicopters have arrived from Bangalore to evaluate the situation in fire affected areas including Bandipur and to help the officials arrive at preventive measures.
