Coimbatore : Celebrating the 71st birth anniversary of 'Amma', AIADMK Ministers, MLAs and cadres across the State have transformed into Samaritans involving themselves in social works of all kinds.

In one such incident, Coimbatore MLA Arukutty organised a mass baby shower function for all expectant mothers in Kavundampalayam. The MLAs daughter Abinaya who is also expecting took part in the event in which 1000 expecting mothers from economically weaker sections took part.
All customs including 'Seer Varisai' was organised in a traditional way. Thousands of people including the relatives of the pregnant mothers took part in the event followed by a customary lunch.

Speaking to the media during the event, MLA Arukutty affirmed that even in the absence of 'Amma', their party had been geared up towards her goal and vision.
Commenting on the grand alliance between BJP and AIADMK for the upcoming Parliamentary elections, the MLA said "The victory is decided. Our alliance will win all 40 constituencies like in 2014. As Anwar raja criticizes, AIADMK is not in need of BJP for emerging victorious. The people of Tamil Nadu have always been with AIADMK".
