Coimbatore : The irked residents of Chetty Street indulged in an argument with MLA Amman Arjunan seeking regular supply of water on Saturday.
Chetty Street which comes under 85th ward of South constituency has been reported to have experiencing water crisis due to irregular supply of water. As their plea to the concerned officials went in vain, the agitated residents waylaid AIADMK MLA Amman Arjunan during a road roko and demanded drinking water supply.
MLA Amman Arjunan who attempted to pacify the public lost his coolness at a point and indulged in an argument with the protestors. At the end, the MLA promised to take necessary action for regulating the water supply following which the public dispersed.
