The Nilgiris : Officials from Horticulture department has said that 1.5 lakhs sapling will be planted at Katteri Park in Coonoor.
Katteri Park is located on Coonoor-Mettupalayam national highways, 5 km away from Coonoor. New saplings of various varieties of roses will be planted for the upcoming first and second season, every year.
17 types of saplings including telio, salvia, petunia will be planted for which the seeds were brought from Germany, Netherlands and also within the country.
‘Once the saplings are grown, it will be planted’ the officials said.
