Injured fawn treated and released in Anaikatti

Coimbatore : Tribals of the Chinna Jambugandi tribal settlement in Anaikatti on Friday morning rescued an injured fawn near their village and handed it over to the forest department.

Coimbatore : Tribals of the Chinna Jambugandi tribal settlement in Anaikatti on Friday morning rescued an injured fawn near their village and handed it over to the forest department.

The male fawn was found roaming on the fringe with injuries and was rescued by the people who had provided water. They had then informed forest personnel who took it to the Mankarai Check Post.

The fawn had external injuries caused possibly by wild dogs (dhole) and was limping around.

Forest personnel had then provided first aid and released the ungulate back in the forest.
