Coimbatore : Condemning the reported dictatorship rule of the current Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, the Sudanese student community of Coimbatore staged a demonstration against their President near the South Taluk Office in the city today.
Coimbatore : Condemning the reported dictatorship rule of the current Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, the Sudanese student community of Coimbatore staged a demonstration against their President near the South Taluk Office in the city today.
Raising slogans against al-Bashir in their mother tongue, more than 50 students gathered at the spot to voice for the freedom of Sudan from al-Bashir’s rule.
“Bashir is trying to push down the people who fight for their rights using barbaric methods if they protest. He is using the military to attack his own people and is involved in war crimes and genocide,” said a protestor.
They further stressed that Omar al-Bashir should step down as President.
