A farmer by profession, deceased K.Shanmugam (55) is survived by his wife, Parvathy, Son, Logesh hails from Usipalayam, Veerappapalayam post, Arachalur, Erode District.
On February 18, he met with an accident near Arachalur and was taken to Erode Government hospital for first aid treatment, later shifted to KMCH.
Due to severity of the injury, the doctors declared him brain dead on February 22. Though the family stood clueless they came forward generously to donate his organs.
The doctor’s team harvested Liver, Kidney, Eyes, Bone and skin, a release from the hospital said.
