Exhibition of rare coins and photos held in Ooty

The Nilgiris : A unique exhibition of old coins, paper currency paintings of indigenous tribes of the region and other artifacts garnered the attention of public and students in Ooty.


The Nilgiris : A unique exhibition of old coins, paper currency paintings of indigenous tribes of the region and other artifacts garnered the attention of public and students in Ooty.  



The exhibition displayed Indian coins and currencies released in 1980s. A collection of photos and paintings of indigenous tribes of the Nilgiris - Badaga, Irula, Kota, Kurumbas and Kaatu Nayaka which are  historical rarities were also on display. 



The 5 Paisa and 10 Paisa coins of the early 70s enthralled the students.
