Tirupur: The public petitioned on various demands at the District Collectorate in Tirupur today. In S V Nagar where there are thousands of residents, work is being carried out by a private company to erect a cell phone tower right in the midst of this residential area. "As there is already a cell phone tower erected in the area, action should be taken to prevent erecting of a new cell phone tower," demanded residents.

The residents also added that stern action should be taken to control the stray dogs menace since five people have already been bitten by them. They also urged for the park in the neighbourhood to be opened even though the work for the park had been completed many months ago.
