Tea Board fixes average price for green leaf for February

The Nilgiris: The Tea Board has announced that the average price for purchase of green leaf by the factories from small growers in the Nilgiris will be between Rs. 17 -14.50, per kg in February.

The Nilgiris: The Tea Board has announced that the average price for purchase of green leaf by the factories from small growers in the Nilgiris will be between Rs. 17 -14.50, per kg in February. 

Following, the request for fixing a minimum price guarantee for the small growers, the tea board has announced the prices for the month of February. 

All bought leaf factories have been instructed to pay this price while buying their green leaf from the small growers this month. The officers of the tea board are advised to ensure that no factory in their jurisdiction procures green leaves at a lesser price than the fixed prices, in February.
