The Nilgiris: The police were on a routine check up near Devashola Police station today. SI Rajan was heading the patrolling when his team stopped a KL registration car.
The 5 men in the car were searched and the police found 3 bullets in one of the accused’s shirt pocket. When enquired they were found to have been from the Malappuram district. And when enquired about the bullets and their whereabouts, the 5 men said that they were porters who help in lifting heavy parcels or luggages and that they found these bullets in the ground while en route to Suthanbathery and they casually put it in their pockets when they got pulled over by the police.
The police arrested and took them into their custody and confiscated their car and the bullets for further enquiry. They were produced before the magistrate and imprisoned.

3. Renish S/O Hamsa (age 32)
4. Faisal - alias Moideen S/O Hyderu (age 34)
