Nilgiris : The Nilgiris District Police Commissioner, Shanmugapriya has issued a 'look out circular' (LOC) for Sayan and Manoj in connection to the Kodanad robbery, to prevent them from escaping to other countries.
Nilgiris : The Nilgiris District Police Commissioner, Shanmugapriya has issued a 'look out circular' (LOC) for Sayan and Manoj in connection to the Kodanad robbery, to prevent them from escaping to other countries.
As the duo along with two other accused, Bijin, Thibu did not appear in the Court on February 8, the judge issued an arrest warrant for all four.
While Bijin and Thibu were arrested in Kerala, the police were on search of Walayar Manoj and Sayan. A LOC has been issued to to trace the absconding criminals and also to prevent their entry to foreign countries.
In the robbery attempt that occured at the Kodanad estate of late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in April 2017, security Om Bahadhur was killed. A total of 11 people were interrogated in this case. Kanagaraj, the main accused in the case had died in a road accident, while Sayan, Manoj, Thibu, Jithinjoy, Jamseer Ali, Santhosh Sami, Udhaykumar, Sadheesan, Walayar Manoh and Bijin Kutti were remanded in prison and later issued bail.
