His family are in deep mourning after receiving news of his death.
In a massive suicide attack that occurred at Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, 41 CRPF personnel have been killed including two from Tamil Nadu. One of them was Subramaniyam who completed ITI and joined CRPF five years ago. He was married just a year and a half ago.
It is reported that just before the attack took place, Subramaniyam had spoken to his wife over the phone yesterday afternoon. A few hours later, a phone call from Jammu and Kashmir that same evening of the tragic death of Subramaniyam has left the whole family devastated.
The remains of the martyred soldiers are kept in Delhi, but it is expected that Subramaniyam's body will be brought to Tuticorin tonight.
