Bank officers & employees union extend their full support for tomorrow's strike

In the pretext of tomorrow's nation-wide strike called for by all trade unions. Today, the Bank officers union staged a protest at the Red Cross society (in front of the Canara bank, Main branch) as a confirmation and support for tomorrow's strike.

The proposed merger of State Bank of India (SBI’s), privatisation of the banking sector and the least importance given to the welfare of the depositors and customers were the allegations put-forth by the bankers union at their protest at the Red Cross Society.  

The protest was led by Manoharan, Bank employees and officers trade union. More than 500 employees and officers participated in the agitation and raised slogans against the Central Government's banking policies.
