Coimbatore: A search has been launched to find the miscreants who reportedly stole a panchaloha idol and cash from a hundi of the Pattaththarasiyamman temple of Hindu Endowment Board at Pappanaickenpalayam here on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: A search has been launched to find the miscreants who reportedly stole a panchaloha idol and cash from a hundi of the Pattaththarasiyamman temple of Hindu Endowment Board at Pappanaickenpalayam here on Wednesday.
According to sources, a worker, after noticing that the temple was broke open, alerted the police. On information, the Race Course crime branch police reached the spot with sniffer dogs and forensic officials.
The police have also been examining CCTV footage in and around Pappanaickenpalayam. Following the order of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), a special team has been formed to nab the culprits.
