Coimbatore: With signs of an early summer gripping the city, humidity levels were unusually high in Coimbatore and adjacent areas in the past week. However, as a welcome relief, the TNAU Agro Climate Centre has forecast that Coimbatore will soon receive moderate rains.
Coimbatore: With signs of an early summer gripping the city, humidity levels were unusually high in Coimbatore and adjacent areas in the past week. However, as a welcome relief, the TNAU Agro Climate Centre has forecast that Coimbatore will soon receive moderate rains.
"From February 13-17, the region will remain cloudy which in turn will pave way for moderate rainfall between February 15-17," said an official source from TNAU. According to a joint report issued by the TNAU and IMD for Coimbatore region, "In the district of Coimbatore, the sky will be mostly cloudy.
Moderate rainfall is expected on February 15, 16 and 17. The maximum and minimum temperature could vary between 33°C and 21°C. During day time, the humidity is expected to be around 80 to 85 per cent. The average wind speed is expected to be around 6 to 8 km per hour and the wind direction will be from southwest."
