Coimbatore : The Singanallur Crime Branch Police are on the lookout for miscreants who broke into a house at Ondipudur here and burgled seven and a half sovereign of gold.
According to reports, Karthikeyan (37), son of Kalimuthu who works as a service engineer in a private company here had gone to Trichy last Monday. His wife had also gone to visit her father’s home last Saturday. When Karthikeyan returned home along with his wife at 3 am today, he was shocked to find their house broken into and realised that the gold was stolen from the locker in the house.
Following this, on information, the Singanallur Crime Branch Police rushed to the spot along with sniff dogs and forensic officials, and fingerprints were collected. The police have been examining the footage of the CCTVs installed in the area where the burglary has been reported.
