Coimbatore : The Departments of B.Voc (Garment Designing) and B.Sc (Costume Design and Fashion) of PSGR Krishnammal organised a mega inter-collegiate event EVANZA’19 on February 2.
Coimbatore : The Departments of B.Voc (Garment Designing) and B.Sc (Costume Design and Fashion) of PSGR Krishnammal organised a mega inter-collegiate event EVANZA’19 on February 2.
N J Sathya, the leading Costume Designer from the film industry and main designer for movies like Raja Rani, Bairava, Theri and so on who has also designed costumes for leading actors like Vijay, Sivakarthikeyan, Silambarasan Jayam Ravi and Jeeva inaugurated EVANZA '19. More than 15 colleges participated in the vent and presented around 100 costumes on stage. An exclusive kids fashion show was also organized with the costumes esigned by II B.Voc (Garment Designing) students.
Various events in the afternoon were organized at the PSGR Krishnammal College for B.Voc (Garment Designing) and B.Sc (Costume Design and Fashion) department students. The events included Designer contests for III B.Voc Garment Designing students and III B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion students, Attire show for II B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion students and Knitted garment fashion show for both III B.Voc Garment Designing students and the III B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion students.
The Chief Guest for the valedictory function was K Jayashree, Proprietor of Iraivi Boutique in Chennai, who is also the sister of the film star Vijay Sethupathy. Jayashree along with other judges Dr. Asrutha and Manoj distributed the prizes. About 150 garments were designed and showcased by the PSGR Krishnammal College students during the event.
