Coimbatore: The District MDMK cadres have petitioned to the Peelamedu Police to initiate action against District BJP Youth wing for pasting controversial posters of their leader, Vaiko.

Following MDMK Chief Vaiko’s statement to stage a black flag demonstration against Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Tirupur on Sunday, Tirupur BJP cadres put up posters warning Vaiko to refrain from doing so. Later, the Police traced the cadres involved in the poster issue and filed a case on them.

On Saturday, similar posters have been put up in Peelamedu area ridiculing Vaiko to mention the time and venue for the black flag protests. And, that special treatment awaits him from BJP during Modi’s visit. Irked by the perceived threat, the MDMK cadres have jointly petitioned to the Inspector of Peelamedu Police Station to initiate action on the BJP cadres for trying to instigate violence.
