The parents alleged that they found “some marks of injury“ in the child’s head when being taken for cremation and then they came back to the hospital to know the reasons for the injury marks. When enquired the hospital has given medical reasons for the death and the injury on the head. However, the enraged parents and their relatives have allegedly made enquiries in the hospital and accused that the child was dropped inadvertently by the handling staff.

Thereafter, parents, relatives and members of the public started protesting in front of the hospital, carrying the dead body of the new-born. The agitated crowd was irate that the hospital authorities have not yet tried to enter into a dialogue with them. The police are negotiating with the relatives of the parents.
Update @ 9:02 pm: The parents have met the hospital management in the presence of the police approximately 2 hours ago. They’ve been explained as to what has happened and if the parents have any doubts, they’ve been requested to perform an autopsy to ascertain for themselves if there was any negligence.
