Opposition parties protest condemning tax hike

Coimbatore: Opposition parties including the DMK, and led by the CPI (M) staged a protest in Karamadai condemning tax hikes.

Coimbatore: Opposition parties including the DMK, and led by the CPI (M) staged a protest in Karamadai condemning tax hikes. They raised slogans condemning the tax hikes which includes water tax and house tax. They urged that the tax hike ought to be withdrawn. 



The protest was led by the CPI (M) District Member Perumal, DMK District Secretary Ramachandran and representatives from the CPI, MDMK and Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi. At the end of the protest, all party cadres carried out a rally to the Karamadai panchayat office and petitioned their demand.
