Tirupur: Police have seized 3136 fake liquor bottles during a vehicle check in Tirupur.
According to reports, the Palladam police were checking vehicles at Pannikampalayam near Palladam. While questioning the driver of an Eicher vehicle, he reportedly moved away without responding to the police. Subsequently, the police chased the car and the driver fled from the spot after parking his vehicle sideways. 3136 fake liquor bottles were seized from the Eicher vehicle.
Based on the documents collected from the four-wheeler, the police found evidence of a fake liquor godown functioning in a poultry farm in Balasamuthiram. The police are on the lookout for Lokesh Kumar, the owner of the godown.
