The Nilgiris: The leopard which had reportedly entered a house at Paattavayal Kaivatta near Gudalur, in Nilgiris yesterday was finally trapped late last night.
The Nilgiris: The leopard which had reportedly entered a house at Paattavayal Kaivatta near Gudalur, in Nilgiris yesterday was finally trapped late last night.
Rayan, the resident in the house reported spotted the leopard lying under the bed in his house and immediately ran out of the house, locking the door behind him. Following this, a team led by the forest veterinary doctor Dr. Manoharan placed a cage near the house in which it was finally trapped. Since the leopard was found with injuries, it is being treated.
Officials say that the leopard will be released into the forest after proper medical treatment.
