Coimbatore: Coimbatore Perur Adheenam presented ‘Kongu Maavel’ award to Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy on Wednesday.
Perur Adheenam Seervalarseer Santhalinga Ramasamy Adigalar foundation has proposed to built Santhalingar hospital at Mudhalipalayam here.
Chief Minister, Edappadi Palanisamy laid the foundation stone for the hospital at the cremony held today.

Following this, Perur Adheenam presented Kongu Maavel award to Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy said, "People from economically backward classes will largely benefit from the Santhalingar hospital at Mudhalipalayam, as treatment options are very affordable".
The CM also lauded that "Health care has always been TN's priority and the state has always excelled in providing an uncompromising medical care to the people. Over 8 years, the state government has allocated Rs. 62,000 crore towards health department."
"Tamil Nadu is transforming into a major hub for medical tourism, as many people from abroad and various parts of the nation are opting TN for quality medical care", he noted.
