Coimbatore : Members of the All India Tourist Vehicle Drivers' Welfare Association of Coimbatore zone staged a protest condemning the police with regard to the suicide of Chennai cab driver Rajesh. They also observed a one-day strike.
Coimbatore : Members of the All India Tourist Vehicle Drivers' Welfare Association of Coimbatore zone staged a protest condemning the police with regard to the suicide of Chennai cab driver Rajesh. They also observed a one-day strike.

Rajesh, a cab driver from Kancheepuram committed suicide after being reportedly harassed and insulted by a cop whom he alleged to be the reason for his suicide in the video that he released before committing suicide. Condemning the harassment, the members also protested in front of the South Taluk Office.
More than 3000 tourist vehicle drivers paid homage to driver Rajesh at Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri, Gudalur and Manjoor. Tourist vehicles are not operated today, due to which tourists are made to stay back in their rooms.
