Corporation Commissioner, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan along with MLA Amman K Arjunan took part in the Bhoomi Pooja held on Monday at Periyar Nagar in Puliyakulam.
Structural damage to the Anganwadi building will be refurbished using the funds, said the release.
Social activist, S.P. Anbarasan, Assistant Corporation Commisioner, Ravikumar, other officials from Corporation and Anganwadi were present.
