Coimbatore : The Local Administration Minister, SP Velumani inaugurated the Amma IAS Academy near the Corporation West Zone office yesterday.
Addressing the media after inauguration, Minister SP Velumani said, "Coaching for civil service exams such as IAS, IPS will be provided at the Amma IAS Academy. Interested civil service aspirants can get their applications here today and enrol in the Academy.
Students from other districts can also get their coaching here. Entrance tests will be conducted for all the students who apply for coaching. A website will also be launched for the Academy. Not less than 500 students will be provided training every year in this Centre," he added.
The District Collector (in-charge) Durai Ravichandran, MLAs PRG Arun Kumar, O K Chinna Raj, Arukutty and many others participated in the event.
