Coimbatore : Minister SP Velumani flagged off a special loan camp exclusively for women to help them start new businesses in the city on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, the Minister requested the women to make use of the camp and avail loans for starting new businesses.
"Women can avail loans starting from Rs.50,000 to Rs.5,00,000. Around 39 banks both nationalised and private banks will be participating in the loan mela which will offer loans under 10 different schemes", he added.
Hundreds of women have gathered at the government school near Paal Company, RS Puram to file their loan applications.
